Penev LLP has recently participated in drafting the Guide to Employment in the European Union 2009, section Bulgaria, prepared by Clifford Chance LLP. The guide is designed to provide an overview of employment law in each of the 27 member states of the EU. The EU Employment Law Guide has been limited to a general description of the areas employment law in each Member State that are of most interest, namely
(i)how employees are engaged and dismissed,
(ii) the cost associated with employees and
(iii) the rights of employees at the end of the period of employment.
